Larrivée OM-09 Artist Series Acoustic Guitar

First built in the mid 70s, Jean Larrivee’s ‘recipe’ reached perfection with the first 09 series model. 40 years later, not much has changed. A perfect combination of rosewood back and sides, sitka spruce top and powered by Jean’s legendary X-Brace system, the OM-09 delivers a powerful, yet balanced, dynamic range. This true American workhorse offers all the response and the tone you will need.

In-keeping with Larrivee’s sustainability policy, all woods are FSC certified. Larrivee prides itself on being plugged in to the entire process of producing a finished, hand-made guitar, from log selection on the forest floor to final quality control in their Oxnard, California workshop.

The OM-09 features subtle upgrades which benefit both the guitar’s tone and aesthetics. The gloss finish is beautifully applied, exhibiting the premium wood grains to their best effect. The headplate is adorned with a silver border which contrasts beautifully with the ebony headplate wood. Ebony also features on the bridge and fretboard, while the nut, saddle and bridge pins are constructed from bone for optimal resonance and sustain. The elegant luxury of the abalone rosette is combined with Larrivee’s signature tortoiseshell pickguard, effectively melding tradition and modernity. Premium “JCL” 18:1 tuners provide the final finishing touch, being both silky smooth and highly accurate.
