Breedlove Pursuit Exotic Companion CE Myrtlewood Prairie Burst Travel Guitar

Breedlove’s first dedicated travel guitar, the Companion body has been developed using the company’s coveted sound-optimisation process. This process has dictated everything from the guitar’s shape, to the air chamber and sound hole size. The result is a diminutive instrument with a 23.5” scale length, which, nevertheless, looks just right proportionally. It plays just like a regular guitar too, and sounds much bigger than it has any right to.

Breedlove’s most used tonewood, myrtlewood, grows along Oregon’s Pacific coast. It is the ideal blend of rosewood, mahogany and maple in presenting balance across the tonal spectrum. Sonically, the Pursuit Exotic Companion CE Prairie Burst Myrtlewood – Myrtlewood sounds as beautiful as it looks with its stunning finish on its all-figured myrtlewood body. The African ebony fretboard and bridge not only add to the attractive appearance, but ebony is the preferred tonewood for all performance guitars. The L.R. Baggs EAS electronics allow the acoustic sound to be accurately amplified, with the easily accessible sound hole volume control.

Breedlove Pinless Bridge

The Breedlove Pinless Bridge helps maintain the integrity of the top by eliminating the need for six drilled string holes. The fewer holes in your
soundboard, the more evenly the sound wave can move across the interior, without any loss of energy. The Breedlove Pinless Bridge also provides a
gentler string-break angle from the bridge to the top of the saddle, reducing saddle strain. This innovative bridge also makes string changes a
breeze, especially on 12 strings. Plus, you’ll never again have to worry about lost, worn-out, or broken bridge pins.

Breedlove Neck

Breedlove guitars feature a slimmer neck profile, which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish also contributes to ideal playability. The labour-intensive finish process includes precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing.
